Psalm 116:12-19 (The Message)

 ^12-19 What can I give back to God
      for the blessings he’s poured out on me?
   I’ll lift high the cup of salvation—a toast to God!
      I’ll pray in the name of God;
   I’ll complete what I promised God I’d do,
      and I’ll do it together with his people.
   When they arrive at the gates of death,
      God welcomes those who love him.

Remember Caroline that was here this summer?  She was an awesome volunteer that came for two months.  She helped us out so much here at RHFH.  She loved on the kids, helped with some many things in the clinic, walked with us, laughed with us, cried with us, encouraged us, loved us and fell in love with this wonderful country of Haiti.  She is coming back to see us at the end of December.  We are so super excited!  She and her friend ,also named Caroline, have come up with a fund-raising idea for RHFH.  They are selling pictures from her trip here.  You can read her post about it here.  You can go to the site here to see the pictures and purchase some if you would like.  We would love for you to get the word out as well to others that might be interested.

I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.  Leviticus 26:4

My papa is coming today…I am so super excited!

Remember my post about Emmanuel?  Well look at him now!  he is doing great on the medika mamba. We are so excited that he is getting better.  We are working on a long-term plan for this cutie.

I wanted to thank each of you that have prayed for us this past month.    We so appreciate it and we feel it!  We also want to thank each of you that have given in the past few weeks.  We have been blown away by the gifts that have been coming in each day.  We are so very thankful to God for all that He has done to keep RHFH going each and every month.

Psalm 37:25-26 (The Message)

 ^25-26 I once was young, now I’m a graybeard—
      not once have I seen an abandoned believer,

32 graduated from the program

3 were removed from the program (2 did not tolerate it well, 1 the family took her home before treatment was finished)

She is healed up and went home this week.  A few blog readers sent funds for her family.  We were able to send these funds home with the mother, she was very thankful for the extra help.

Three kids died this week, Titincil, Dounia and Jonald.

This makes 9 new patients on the medika mamba program this week.  I will have some updated numbers soon on the progress of this program that is saving lives here in Cazale.
This is Jonald.  He is 15 months old and weighs 13 pounds. He has fever, diar, and a very stiff neck. 

This is Jolanida.  She is 2.5 years old and weighs 16 pounds.  This is the third time she has had kwashiorkor.  She has lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks.

Dounia went home in Sept at 18 pounds.  Back this week at 14 pounds.

This is Wadelande.  She is 2 years old and in the beginning stages of kwashiorkor.  She has a huge abcess on the back of her head as well.  She will stay to eat well and to receive daily dressing changes.

This is Walnelson.  He is 2.5 years old and is suffering from kwashiorkor, diar, vomiting, cough/cold.  His legs are very tight and painful for him to walk.This is Cherline.  She is 2 years old and weighs 22 pounds.  She is suffering from kwashiorkor, fever and open sores on her legs.

This is Ostelineda.  She is 6 years old and weighs 28 pounds.  She has been back and forth between dad, mom and grandma for several months.  She is in the beginning stages of kwashiorkor.  Her legs and feet are very swollen.  She should recover well if she continues to eat.

This is Marlene.  She is 13 years old.  She has just about the worse case of kwashiorkor that I have ever seen.  She has been sick for several months.  Her feet are split open and leaking water.  Her church gave the family money to come to the clinic.  She is very sick and very, very malnourished and anemic.

This is Maguerite.   She is 20 years old.  Her daughter just left the RC this week.  She is living with her father.  Her father is with another lady now.  Maguerite weighs 71 pounds.  She is very anemic and malnourished.  I asked her if I might send food back home with her to see if she could gain some weight.  She laughed and said first she could not carry a box of food and then that those living at her house had to eat too.  So she asked if she could stay with us for a while.  She is eating well and we are hopeful that she will begin to gain weight and recover.

Hey faithful reader.  I want to ask you to pray for us today.  The needs today seem overwhelming, no they are overwhelming.  There are well over 350 outside our gate waiting to pass in the clinic today.  There are a lot of kids in the RC today that are sick.  Several on IV’s and feeding tubes.  Several near death.  Several of the kids with kwashiorkor are severely sick.  Some of the worse cases we have seen.  Dad is leaving today for a 1 week trip to visit my brother and his family.  We need all of you today to pray- for it all.  Pray for strength for us, safe travels for dad, all the patients waiting to pass, all the sick kids, all the ones that are near death, and the ones that are just arriving.  We love each of you and know you are with us and you will pray.

–over 250 patients passed in the clinic today

–there are people sleeping outside on the ground so that they can pass in the clinic tomorrow

–4 kids went home today

–4 new kids admitted

–1 visitor left today, 1 new visitor came today

–2 trips in to town dad made carrying supplies in for RHFH

–100 boxes of FMSC rice donated today

–2 really sick kids with kwashiorkor admitted.  I kept checking to see if one was breathing while filling out her chart

–I wanted to let you know again what a blessing ANNA is to RHFH

–We miss Keverly

–2 kids on IV fluids

–2 kids on feeding tubes

–1 two/half mile walk this evening

–1 big sack of grapefruit, 2 papayas, 1 stalk of bananas given as gifts of thanks today

–60 plates of food prepared 5 times today

– to many to count dirty diapers, dirty dishes, sticky fingers, hugs and kisses from beautiful kids

–the need is met for Maunette Yeah!

–many donations have been coming in from $3 to $500 in the past two days.   God is providing and we are believing that we will be able to have enough funds by the end of November.
