YOU can make a difference….

This is K. & E.  They are two girls that have CHOOSEN to make a difference.  They read and look at my blog with their mom.  Their mother was part of the 40 day fast and wrote about the Rescue Center. The girls wanted to do something to help the kids out here in Haiti.  They decided to have a lemonade stand and sell other goodies as well.  It was a lot of hard work but they raised $265.00 for the RC.  WOW!  That is amazing!

Meet the girls!

Here is the stand

Here is the crew..

Here is what the girls had to say:

K: It was fun having the lemonade stand, but it was alot of work. You have to make plans: what to sell, how much it will cost, and when and where the stand will be. We made a big cooler of lemonade- I had fun stirring it. All the work was worth it- all the money will go to the center to help with the things the kids need. Any kid can do this and make a difference.
E: Im happy I did the lemonade stand this year. It was very hot, but thats why we had snowcones. The smartest thing we did was make a menu so the people could just drive through and buy what they wanted. I liked all the money we made- it was alot. And the kids at the center will get new things they need. I think if a kid wants to do the lemonade stand- just ask their mom and make plans and they can do it!!

Thanks girls for all you help!  I greatly appreciate it and am so proud of you both!

No excuses, no whining, no complaining, they just did it and made a difference in the lives of the children in the RC!

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

James 1:26-28

26If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. 27Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
