Hey…I’m back

Remember Telismane??? Her husband was the one that died in the flood in front of the clinic.  We have been meeting with her and her family.   Exciting things are going to be happening with in the next month for her and her boys (5 of them).  This is what you the readers have done for her so far.  We have funds to rent a house for her for one year.  We have funds to start a small business of buying and reselling items.  We have funds to send the three boys that are school age to school for one year.  We have three families that are sending funds for her each month. We have funds to buy a baby goat.  We have funds to replace kitchen items.  We have some funds to purchase a few more animals for her and the boys.  She is very excited and encouraged about the future.  Thanks you for coming together to meet the need for this family.  God is good!

We had a group called parole en action come out last week.  They brought wheelbarrow’s, shovels, and pix axes for the Community Development group G.V.A.D.K.  We will be using these items to work on the road and work in the community.  They also brought 50 bags.  The bags below contain new clothes for an adult and child, a towel, hygiene items, and a foam single mattress.  We were able to distribute these items to 50 family that were hard hit by the flood.  God is good again!

The trailer is out of customs!  It came out last week when where we were in Port-au-Prince. I was able to get some pictures of it traveling out to the dock to be unloaded. With dad being sick, today is the first day he was able to go and begin unloading.  God is good again!

coming up behind me…look at those photo taking skills!

pulling into the driveway of Chrisitan Aid Ministries (CAM) where it will be unloaded at the dock there.

backing up to the dock.

Hope everyone has a great day today…give someone a hug, tell someone you love them, give someone a little encouragement to make their day, send a thoughful email to someone that is in need, show God’s love to those you come in contact with.  Be encouraged and know that everything is going to work out.  He is in control even when we think things are out of control.

Off to do school with the boys….

Praise God! So good to hear such wonderful news from Haiti. I can hear the excitement and anticipation in your words. We need to remember that GOD IS IN CONTROL even when it doesn’t look like it to us. Especially in these times, we need to TRUST HIM WITH ALL OUR HEART, SOUL AND MIND. That is not always easy but it is essential.

  7. Praise the Lord for His mercy and love at such a time as this!
Email me at cdeklund@starband.net and see if I can send you an application from the “Crocs” Shoe Company for a donation of these shoes for the people in your area. These shoes are light and a durable comfortable plastic that will hold up nicely in Haiti, cool and washable and dryable.
God bless the work you do.
