School update

 Okay this is gross!  Keverly needed a bone for Carmelo to look at in school.   So I must have not been thinking straight that day.  I sent someone up to the local market here in Cazale.  I asked it I could have “a bone” for them to look at for his science class.  About 1 hour later they walked up to my house with this.  YUCK!  A cow’s leg.

A think Keverly was a little freaked out by the cow leg.  Carmelo, being a boy, was excited and thought it was funny that we thought it was gross!

We had to cut the bone so that they could look inside it.   I am sure that he will never forget that learning adventure!

They have art class everyday for 1 hour.

Trey has been working really hard with his school work.  They have been working through a book that has been great for Trey.  He is reading sentences!

He is on lesson 50, half way through the book, and doing so well.

 Keverly wanted to do something special for this milestone in school.  So he got a new bike!

We are all so happy about the boys and how much they have been improving in school this year.  God sure knew what He Was doing when he sent Keverly to us.  She is a wonderful blessing to our family and RHFH.

Psalm 77:12-14 (The Message)

 11-12 Once again I’ll go over what God has done,
      lay out on the table the ancient wonders;
   I’ll ponder all the things you’ve accomplished,
      and give a long, loving look at your acts.

 13-15 O God! Your way is holy!
      No god is great like God!
   You’re the God who makes things happen;
      you showed everyone what you can do—
   You pulled your people out of the worst kind of trouble,
      rescued the children of Jacob and Joseph.

    As a teacher, I am so glad to know that someone with a teacher spirit has blessed your family. So yeah for Keverly! Please remind her that that teacher’s heart is a gift from God.

    It is so wonderful to see Carmelo smiling with that nasty old cow leg.

    I tried to email you back but got a MailerDaemon notice that my email was rejected.. so in reply to your email I was trying to say:
    “http://littledressesforafrica.org/default.asp?pid=401&p1=10
    Let me know if that link works and takes you to a photo album of where some of the kids are wearing the dresses… I have made several pillow case dresses for my own daughters for the “hot” summers here in Southern CA and they can be pretty cute. I prefer a slightly different style with elastic sewn in the casings and the straps being made from bias tape that gets tied at the shoulders… there’s less chance of entanglement since there’s no drawstrings, and the bias tape doesn’t come untied as easily as ribbon.
    They would be very, very versatile as far as sizing goes and could be made in a couple of different lengths to fit rough age groups.”

    I miss them all! I love Trey’s haircut – we have ‘pet’ cows next door so the cow leg grosses me out but I can understand how Carmelo loved it! So glad he’s better now!
