We can read..

WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THE NEED HAS BEEN MET FOR MONISE!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!  GOD IS GOOD!

Last year we started a literacy class for the workers here at RHFH.  We started out with 16 students and there were 11 that graduated in March.  They have worked so hard the past few months to be able to learn to read and write and do basic math skills.  We are all so proud of them.  Here they are with their graduation certificates.

We are excited about more classes that will be starting in the next few months.  These classes will be open to others in the community.  We also want to thank Alfalit International for the great help and materials provided for the students.

Philippians 4:7-9 (The Message)

6-7Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

8-9Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

Wow- that’s amazing! This is definitely something I would be interesting in supporting. I have been racking my brain lately trying to figure out ways to give a hand up , rather than a hand out. It is hard!! Education seems to be the first step for that though.
