Comfort ship report

There were 73 cases sent into the doctors, via email, to see if they could be screened.  Of those 73 there were 12 that were not accepted.

Word was sent out to as many as we could find to come and meet at the clinic on Thursday afternoon.

There were 45 patients that showed up to go into town to see the doctors on the Comfort ship.  Each patient had someone with them as an escort in case they were chosen for surgery.  Of the 45 that went there were 28 that were seen by a doctor.  That leaves 17 that did not even get seen.  There were only about 10 people that we able to see a doctor on Friday.  Everyone else returned on Saturday.  Those that did not get seen were told “see you next year”.  There were 9 that were chosen for surgery.

Transportation from Cazale into the ship for Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur (we will have to go back and pick up a few more patient later this week)–$1000.00

$300-$350 spend on food and water for the patient.

When all the surgery’s are completed and the patients are back here in Cazale I will post there pictures.

discouraged-yes

defeated-not with God on our side.

Psalm 68:8-10 (The Message)

 7-10 God, when you took the lead with your people,
      when you marched out into the wild,
   Earth shook, sky broke out in a sweat;
      God was on the march.
   Even Sinai trembled at the sight of God on the move,
      at the sight of Israel’s God.
   You pour out rain in buckets, O God;
      thorn and cactus become an oasis
   For your people to camp in and enjoy.
      You set them up in business;
      they went from rags to riches.

    Don’t be discouraged, Licia. of the 45 patients that went – 9 got surgery! That’s 20%! You and Lori got surgery for 9 people this week! That’s a HALLELUJAH! It is sad that not everyone was helped – but 9 people is still HUGE! God gave victory to NINE through you guys! Don’t let Satan diminish the victory. Just look at the faces of the NINE.

    I love you, dear, and we wish every person could be helped. But it’s little by little, step by painful step. I learned this from you guys. Every ONE is a victory – and you have NINE! PRAISE THE LORD!

  2. Agreeing in faith with Bekki! ((Hugs))
