Beans, beans, beans

G.V.A.D.K. (the community development group that Lori started) received a donation of beans from Food for the Poor.  There were 60 sacks donated-many of the beans were treated with a blue power that will keep the bugs away.  There were 40 sacks of pinto beans, 15 sacks of navy beans and 5 sacks of lima beans.  These beans were given out to 15 different locations.  The farmers will plant the beans and bring the group back the same amount that they were given.  We will hold these beans and give them out to more farmers during the next planting season.

Each village has one person that is responsible for the group.  This person will check up on the gardens and let us know how the beans are growing.  They will also be responsible for returning the beans.  Will you join us in prayer that these beans will produce many many more bean so that the farmers can sell and eat them for their families.

Isaiah 61:10-11 (The Message)

10-11I will sing for joy in God,
explode in praise from deep in my soul!
He dressed me up in a suit of salvation,
he outfitted me in a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom who puts on a tuxedo
and a bride a jeweled tiara.
For as the earth bursts with spring wildflowers,
and as a garden cascades with blossoms,
So the Master, God, brings righteousness into full bloom
and puts praise on display before the nations
