Running for RHFH

Audrey Ann is a friend of RHFH.  She was in my parents Sunday school class when she went to our church when she was just a little girl.  Mom and dad taught her and her siblings about God and how to live a life for HIM.  My mom was the master letter writer.  She wrote everyone personal notes of encouragement over the years.  We would find her late at night or very early in the morning writing to people and just telling them the  stories about Haiti or telling them what God had done for her that week.  She wrote back and forth with Audrey Ann over the years.  Audrey Ann always wanted to visit Haiti.  She saved up her funds to come for a visit many years ago.  But each time we would schedule a time for a trip something would come up and it would not work out.  Mom died in 2005 and she still had not made the trip that she had been wanting to make since she was a young girl.  This past summer Audrey Ann was able to make that trip to Haiti.  We were able to show her RHFH and all that we do here.  We had a great time with her while she was here.  She returned home and decided to do something to help.  She is running a marathon in April to raise funds for RHFH.  You can check her blog out here.  This story reminds me of God’s great hand is everyone’s life.  How so many years ago when she was just a young child He used my mom and dad in her life and now she is return wants to do somthing to help out.  God is Good! Romans 8:28-29 (NIV)

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[a] who[b] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
