Comfort ship

Lori was able to visit the Comfort ship this weekend.  They are doing great work here in Haiti.  We and the country of Haiti are so thankful they are here.  Lori is working with them to connect them with NGO Hospitals here in Haiti that can do follow-up and continued care for those being discharged from the ship.  If you know of a hospital here in Haiti that is willing to take in patients after they have had surgery please leave a comment below for us.  This is my all time favorite picture of her!

Licia – It looks like Love a Child is set up to take patients – God Bless you, Lori and all that are working so hard with Grace and Love from God.

It’s a ways away (in Deschapelles), but Hopital Albert Schweitzer seems to be a possibility, from what I have seen on their blog…

    Hi Licia.
This is Coby de Blaeij. Here at the Crisis Team International, working from QCS in PAP, we are doing the same, Finding Hospitals that can take Post Op patients. If you know of a place, can you let us know too?
Also,if you know of hospitals, clinics that need doctors and nurses. We do have a pool of doctors and nurses that we are assigning to different hospitals. Now we are sending some also to the different tent cities.
Let’s share some info. so we can help more and more people.

“They say that every society is only three meals away from revoIution. Deprive a culture of food for three meals, and you’ll have an anarchy.”

Before ‘anyone,’ in the comfort of his own home watching his 60″ plasma screen while drinking a cool beverage, gets upon his high horse about the reactions of exceptionally desperate people in incredibly desperate circumstances, a people whose lives and country are in ruin, he should remember that and just be quite thankful…..and try, if at all possible, to help in any way.
