New children admitted this week

This is Levizier.  He is 2 days old and weighs 4 pounds 12 ounces.  His mother died the same day he was born.  The two ladies in the picture are from the family.  The father did not come as he had to tend to the burial of his wife.  We are sending Levizier to God’s Littlest Angels.  We are so thankful that they are willing to take some of our smaller kids during this time.  God bless them!

This is Andreline.  She is 3 years old and weighs 15 pounds 10 ounces.  This is the 4th time she has had kwashiorkor.  Her family took two days of walking and tap-tap to get to the clinic.

This is Jewel.  He is 9 years old and weighs 36 pounds. His family walked 4 hours one way to get to the clinic.

This is Jolene.  She is 6 years old and weighs 29 pounds. She has three other sisters at home and this is the second time with kwashiorkor. Her father carried her up and down the mountains for 3 hours one way to get to the clinic.

This is Fleurisma.  He is 7 years old and weighs 25 pounds.  This is his third time with kwashiorkor. He also has had a fever for over a week.  His family walked 2 hours one way to get to the clinic.

This is Wiline.  She is 2 years old and weighs 17 pounds.   She has 4 siblings at home.  This is her fourth time with kwashiorkor.  She has a mild case of it just some swelling in her feet and lower legs.  It took her family two days of walking and riding tap-tap to get to the clinic.

Colossians 2:6-8 (New International Version)

6So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

It’s all in Matthew 25, isn’t it. “Whatsoever you do unto the least of these my brothers” so sad that these little ones suffer. So happy that you are there to be God’s representatives. Sad that Jolene’s family waited so long to bring her in – happy that Wilne’s family came quickly. Life is a roller coaster – love is the only constant.

These families work against amazing odds to care for their children. You work against amazing odds to help them do it. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stand behind you in prayer and giving while you and the haitian people fight the battles you do. We are humbled and honored to know you, and through you see the way our mighty God works.
