There are some kids that just need a little extra love and care. Anna and Jess have been taking care of no less than three kids at a time. Some for a few night some long-term. It is a full-time job. It takes a lot of work. There are lots of messes (poo and puke) worms, fevers, night-time feedings and multiple other things that are done for these kids. The ladies in the RC have many kids (around 60 now) to take care of so it gives my heart such peace to have these ones that need and extra touch in Anna and Jess’s hand. Marlene came in about a month ago. Five year old and weighing 14. As of this am she is 18 pounds. She is a new child. She smiles, laughs and plays. She is beautiful. She is a creation of God. She is eating now, she is on the road to recovery. One by one we are making a difference in the lives of children. When the parents come back to visit they believe that the God we have healed their child. They are open to listen to the gospel. They see a miracle before their eyes. Their sick child recovered. God is good!
Words are not enough to thank Jess, Anna and others that work one on one with these sick and dying kids. I can only know that their reward will be great in heaven.
Luke 18:15-17 (The Message)
15-17People brought babies to Jesus, hoping he might touch them. When the disciples saw it, they shooed them off. Jesus called them back. “Let these children alone. Don’t get between them and me. These children are the kingdom’s pride and joy. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.”
