Telismane and the boys

UPDATE:  YOU wonderful blog readers have donated the rent for one year, a kitchen table, a shelf and funds to double her small business.  We just have the boys school sponsorship and the kitchen supplies left.  God is so good!

The floods that passed through Cazale last year affected many people in our area.  Telismane and her family were affected in a great way.  She lost her husband and was left to raise 5 boys by herself. You can read their story here.  Many of you out there were touched by their story.  I wanted to let you know that they are doing great.  With help from many of you she  

• rented a house for 1 year
• started a small business
• got three new beds
• put three of her boys in school for 1 year
• bought several goats
• bought a mule
• bought new items for her house
• a $50US sponsor a month

 I love this family.  The boys stop by and see us a couple of times a week.  They are the cutest kids around and always bring a joy to my heart when I see them.  They are all doing wonderful in school.  The mom has her small business right outside our gate.  They have worked hard this year to put their lives back together with out their father and Telismane with out her mate.  I just love them and cannot imagine how hard to has been to raise 5 boys by herself.  This family gives me hope that through a tragedy God can turn it around for His glory.  So today first we want to thank all of you that have given to this family.  They are so very thankful and have felt the love from so many.  Second, we do not want any of you to miss out of the blessings of helping them again this coming year.  Her current needs 

• rent for this year (12 months) $156.60
• a kitchen table w/6 chairs $66.26
• a shelf for her dishes $36.14
• double her business size  $240.00
• school sponsorship for 4 boys the boys $250.00 a piece for the whole year
• some new kitchen supplies and dishes $50.00

Colossians 3:16-17 (The Message)

 ^15-17Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.
