We found this little boy inside the clinic yard on Tuesday morning. Other patients that were waiting to be seen said he had been sitting there for a few hours. His mother handed him the clinic number that she had stood in line for that morning. Number 86. The other patients said she was sick and had vomited inside the yard and told everyone she was going outside to wash her face and change her clothes. Someone outside said she went to the river and washed-up and then no one knows where she went. No one remembers her name or where she was from. We shall wait and see if other family members come looking for this cutie. Taking suggestion for names for him.
I take it he is unable to tell you his name – does he talk at all? Perhaps a game could coax it from him? I’m sure you’ve thought of everything already……I was thinking of an little candy/treat game for the kids. “One for _________” and the child tells you his/her name. Getting all of the verbal kids involved may just break down barriers. Of course, they get the treat whether they are able to tell or not – everyone could chime in. The same game with bubbles or stickers might also be fun. A good language game either way. Forgive the input – you have probably already tried a million things………praying for this little guy. BTW – did Anna tell you of the little boy we fostered once who came without a name. He was such a little man so we called him “Guy” We all loved him so much! Blessings to all of you at RHFH! Christi & Ronny (Anna’s parents)
I like the names Josiah, Jonathan , and Isaac but he looks like a Reuben to me.
David. Definately David.
He has gorgeous eyes! Oh and his smile! What a cutie! I would call him Benjamin. I love that name 🙂 His cheeks and smile reminds me of my 3 year old. Gosh, can I take him home!! So cute. Can you tell I love kids?!?! lol.
Btw, praying about the semi trailers. Your doing such amazing work!
Samuel immediately came to mind when I saw this precious face. Praying for him.
we CANNOT come up with a name for our boy on the way, so who am I to throw a name in the hat!
– I think Eli or Elison
– Although I like Abner as well.
Joseph – since he was abandoned by his family – he will over come and become great
Elijah!! Eli for short 🙂 he’s so sweet.
Demetri
I like the name Simon it means “to be heard.”
I like the name Ike. He’s so cute! Doesn’t look like he’s gonna need any Medika Mamba!
Elijah comes to mind.
Gabriel – looks like an angel!
Miles. Because it is so close to “smile”, and his is gorgeous. 🙂
our son from Haiti is Lubens. Is that a common name in Haiti. It grew on us so we kept his name.
Two votes for DAVID! yes, DAVID! 100%
Samuel or Jonathan
He looks like an Oliver, and I also like the name of Simon suggested by Jess above. He is precious.
Lol, I wanted to put David too because that is my son’s name but I didn’t 🙂 Since there are two others, I’ll toss it out there as well 🙂 Make it three for David 🙂
He looks like a Thomas to me. What a sweet young child!
Aaron
Kaleb
Micah
Malaki
what about S’miles (said kind of like S’mores)? i have a child by that name at the place where i work.
i also really like Levi, or Jonah!!!
Papito.
Luckson. Josiah.
How about Micah William? It means “Who is like God? A resolute guardian.”
Any name yet? What a doll! I like Moses, I’d like to think she let him go to save him.
I just want to call him sugar – but that is the name that I say for every child I see on your site and pray for.
He looks like a James or a Jonathan to me.
And I will be praying his mother is well and returns.
