Nadiege

This is Nadiege. She used to live in Gonaives with her family.  There was a flood that pasted through her area in 2004.  It destroyed her home and she lost everything.  She decided to leave the area and move to Cabaret.  She moved there and was renting a house with her two children.  During the earthquake her house fell down.  She did not know what to do.  Her kids were sick and she was sick, so she traveled out to the clinic to be seen.  After she passed in the clinic she just went and sat outside.  She had no money left and no way to get home.  The nurses in the clinic had sent her to get some medical test done and she had no money to go.  So she went and layed out across the street by where we burn our trash.  Yves and Frank (two of our employees) found her there with her kids.  We got her some sheets and blankets that first night  for her and the kids.

Her feet and legs are very swollen.  She is very sick.  She can not walk without assistance.  Dad took her into the doctor’s office on Wednesday to get medical testing.  We will get results on TB and AIDS test tomorrow.  Please keep her and her two small children in your prayers.  We will update of her progress within the next few days.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
